"Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world."
- Percy Bysshe Shelley

Laura Boss, a celebrated New Jersey poet, died of pancreatic cancer on April 9, 2021.  In addition to her seven books and her founding and editing of Lips magazine over the last 40 years, she spent an enormous amount of time mentoring and inspiring other poets, often with her good friend and award-winning poet, Maria Gillan.

As a tribute to Laura and in an effort to continue her mission of supporting poets and poetry, we are establishing the Laura Boss Poetry Foundation.  The Foundation will sponsor poetry contests and provide other support to the poetry community.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation and all contributions to support its work are tax-deductible.

Laura was a poet, teacher, and the founding editor of Lips poetry magazine and the Foundation plans to continue and expand upon the projects in the poetry community that she loved and supported in her lifetime.

Please subscribe with your email using the form below to receive updates from the Foundation.
